Okay, so the theme for the party is "Bad Jumper Party". There will be prizes for the worst jumpers in the following categories:
Bill Cosby Award - for worst jumper overall
Jack Nicholas Award - for worst diamond design
Grandma's favourite award - for worst home knit
Public Servant's Award - for worst cardigan
Ritchie Benaud Award - for worst v-neck
So start knitting and hassling your dads for a corker to wear to our party.
We have been trying to find a theme for our party. Current contenders include:
* Bad jumper party (my favourite)
* Public servant party (come dressed in a cardie with a combover)
* Hawaiian party
* Pizza party (come dressed as your favourite pizza)
We're happy to take suggestions. Please email them to us.
We're having a house party on Saturday, 5th of July (ie two weeks). Regular readers of this blog are welcome - contact me via email for the details.
Otherwise, we're aiming to have Stewart St TV up and running, broadcasting the party to the internet from 8pm AEST. Check back here for information about this exciting new development.
Geeta joined our house today. To celebrate, Antony cooked some delicious salmon in a white wine sauce. We drank the rest of the wine and had some chocolate pudding. This finished off a lovely rainy Melbourne wintery Sunday. I didn't get out of my tracksuit pants all day. Even when we went to Barkly Square for a shopping trip (it is Brunswick after all, and they are adidas trackies).
We have a nice new housemate called Geeta who moves in tomorrow. She is a pharmacist from the UK. She was the first person we interviewed and we liked her immediately.
We will be having a house warming and cooling party here in the next few weeks. A bit cold for a barbecue though!
Now we are back home and settling into our usual routines. The strangest thing has been that Neal has moved out with the lovely Penny, which is sad for us and happy for him. We are currently interviewing for new people, and hope to sort something out soon, to continue Chez Stewart Street.
I am somewhat hesitant to write this, as it may create expectations of competency, but Greg and I have started to learn German since our holiday away. It's quite a lot of fun. My big aim is to be able to order a milkshake by the end of the course (Ich moche ein milchsomthing?) At least I can be confident of increasing my knowledge tenfold through this course!
