TypeWritr
This is a demonstration of a typewriter where the typeset consists of photographs of letters, digits and punctuation marks - freshly lifted from the photo-sharing website Flickr. It uses the FlickrFont project's code to make a real-time, interactive and highly-amusing typewriter. Plonk your six year-old in front if this, plug in the old keyboard and stand back - hours of free edutainment ensue!
Just start bashing away at the keys; if you click on something it will turn off. To start again, just click the status button below. Warning: Since this recreates the hilarity and fun of old-fashioned typewriters, there is no backspace, delete or cursor. Instead, you'll have to apply Tipp-ex.
